Comodal Teaching in Higher Education: Literature Review Based on a Systemic Literature Search from 2008 to 2021
Abstract
It is widely acknowledged that the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated the adoption of distance education to the extent that it has now become an accepted mode of teaching at all academic levels. As a result, “comodal” or “flexible” courses, where some students attend in-person while others participate remotely, may offer a new instructional avenue for institutions. This article provides a systematic review of the literature to identify what we know about comodal teaching in higher education.
